Manohar (51) is a husband, a father, railway office worker, and a traditional Indian family man. Manohar is stern but compassionate. His family is his whole world, and he loves his wife very much.

Manohar is respected in his society and by his family. In arguments at home, Manohar always has the final word. Manohar is a good, supportive father to his children and takes care of his mother; he wants the best for them, but his kids tend to fear him and rarely go to him with their problems. Though neither Manohar nor Sushma trusts the western world, Manohar will always do what is best for his family.

Manohar struggles with back problems, so he is not as strong as he used to be, but his kids still think of him as an invincible dad.
