The line where Naresh (29) the engineer ends and Naresh the person begins is solid. Naresh is timid and a hopeless romantic. Naresh comes from humble beginnings, and he is shy around girls, but where his mouth fails him, his brain does not; he is always thinking and computing.

When Naresh takes an interest in Esha, he builds up the courage to talk to her over several months. He is not as flashy, confident, or cocky as many of his fellow Indian men, but he is sincere and cheesy in his approach, and he hopes Esha will be the woman who wouldn't have it any other way.

Naresh is a genuine, caring person and an animal lover. He attracts them, and passing dogs love it when he takes the time to pet them. As a vegetarian, Naresh says animals cannot fight for themselves, so someone needs to do it, and he boldly volunteers to do so himself.

Naresh's biggest secret is that his father is an astronaut, but he does not like attention, so he keeps it to himself. Still, though Naresh knows a lot about astronomy, no star shines brighter for him than Esha.
