Venkatesh Prasad AKA Venu
Ambitious, even more so than Ria, Venu (27) expects the best and strives for it. Venu is clever, but his ego causes him to make bad judgment calls on occasion. He always tries to be at his A-game in everything he does, and Venu is not opposed to taking shortcuts to get there. He does not think of anyone as his equal, so getting any respect or recognition from Venu is nearly impossible. Newer team members often look up to Venu as a leader and role model in the office as a result.
Unbeknownst to most, somewhere within his hard, arrogant heart, Venu still has humanity in him. He is like a coconut: a hard shell on the outside and a watery soft mush inside.
Venu is not necessarily a “mean” person, but he can be off-putting; of all his valuable work skills, people skills are not among them. Venu is typically seen in a designer suit and being flanked by his minions, Nick and Prachi.
As a child, one of Venu's teachers introduced him to an abacus, and it would help shape him into the math wiz he is today.
Venu, an only child, grew up in a chawl near Akash, whose family moved away when Akash's family came into some money. After Akash's departure, Venu was bullied and needed to find a way to be protected. He started working out consistently (to nearly bodybuilder status) to help him defend himself, and he soon found himself entangled in Mafia extortion rackets. Venu was taught to look tough and be tough, which can be intimidating for some, but it only enhances his reputation as "The Alpha-Raptor" in the office.
